Unethical Breeding Practices

Pit-bulls were derived from Bull Dogs, Mastiffs and Terriers. No math to it, mixing these three breeds came up with the Pit-bull. This breed was used for baiting shows. Sterile as the term may sound, baiting is very much similar to the dog fighting Vick is allegedly involved in. Only then, the bear or bull was chained and a succession of dogs had their shot at biting the fatal bite- before going down themselves. Royalty in  England would bend parliament rulings for this spectacle, yet when Parliament banned baiting all followed. For baiting enthusiasts then, to sate their addiction for gambling and gore dog fighting became an answer. This time Europe and other places staged these fights like the WWE of the Middle Ages.

When the pit bull breed was brought to the US, several breeders were not certified nor were they working on kennel operations. This practice has been going on until now, contributing highly to the improper breeding of this dog breed. Every dog breeder knows when a dog is not suitable for breeding. Health problems and temperament problems are what make a pet unqualified for breeding. Some people just breed the Pit-bulls they have (unregistered) and just count the profit each puppy will give. Isn't the irresponsible breeding? An aggressive Pit-bull mixed with another aggressive one is most likely to produce a litter with most temperamental problems.
